“Kalki distributes nutritional packages and conducts medical check-ups for the children, monitors the attendance at the ART centre.”

Kalki has partnered with Jeeva Nivas, a residential care home for orphan or abandoned HIV infected children, to provide support to 120 HIV infected children in the districts of Pondicherry and Cuddalore.

Kalki distributes nutritional packages and conducts medical check-ups for the children, monitors the attendance at the ART centre. Kalki’s mobile library is used to carry out recreational and educational activities giving a chance for the children to have fun and share problems.

Home visits are used to strengthen the relationship with the children and families and allows for an assessment of the condition of the children-medical, emotional, economic and educational – and work together with the families for the prevention of problems and the exclusion of the children from the normal social life.
